Our summer - such a perfect summer

May was pleasant and nice, starting a couple of days after first of May, some pictures in the blog posted in May. The picture above is from midsummer night at 10:30.

June was pretty chilly, these enchanting pics are from the beginning of June before the heath wave.

The official swan observer

The heath wave started pretty soon after we had our jolly meeting at the summer house in the beginning of July. Four of Kiila's pups with their families visited us. Altogether we had 13 dogs running by the jetty. One of the girls was in season so, she is not in the picture, where we collected the gang together. The atmosphere was very amicable among all these dogs. Such great puppies (only seven years old) having such a good homes, what a pleasure for the breeder.

During the summer both the dogs as well as their owners swam a lot. Prikka is making progress with her retrieves. She can not retrieve anything if the other dogs are around with their toys. This is the second time she did it! And she seems to be very pleased with herself.

Jinga is no teen anymore, she became a veteran dog in July, eight years of pure happiness.

Running on water.

Besides Kiila's puppies we had a puppy-puppy Raf visiting us every now and then. A very brave and nice puppy, indeed.

The swans are also keeping us company.
The posting after Jolly meeting is about our rowing trip close to Savonlinna. Seven days and nights with beautiful camp sites in perfect summer conditions and rowing 140 km.

the jumpers

One of the first perfect retrieves from the water, one single retrieve without dropping the object.

The last days of July we visited Oulu. Still hot, so lots of running in the shallow clear waters of sandy shores of the Bothnian Bay.

Kiila was not very keen on this wading project, she climbed on every single rock we saw.

We walked/waded one kilometre with the dogs from one beach to the next, in between there were the reeds that you would not like to trespass. Though, I do not know if the walking was refreshing for the dogs, it was pretty warm and Oulu had the warmest temperatures during that day, 33,2 C.

Tansy (baby name for Prikka) with tansies, after we reached the smaller beach after the long walk.

Some reeds, there are lots of them around Oulu, kind of hard to find the sea.

This picture tells how hot it has been for the dogs inside the house as well as outside.

The reason for going Oulu - this jolly agile breeder is now granny.

The clear water of the Bothnian Bay and my trio,
what a summer!

Now, we are back at home, the nearby forests and the garden and the teddies.
